Pianist, Hans Pålsson Celebrity Concert July 20th 7.30pm
Swedish pianist, Hans Pålsson, will play Bach Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert in Newbridge College Theatre July 20th at 7 pm.
Pålsson's playing makes for an unforgettable experience. Recipient of many awards since he burst on the scene as a child prodigy, he has recorded some 25 CDs.
In 2010, Hans created a sensation when he played all 32 Beethoven sonatas within 12 days. This series attracted unstinting praise and was sold out. 'Palsson is a pianist of genius' (Svenska Dagbladet). Many other such tributes have been paid, internationally, to the depth and lyricism of his playing.
Many consider Hans Pålsson one of the great pianists of our time. Hans has been elected a Member of the Swedish Royal Academy and is often invited to act as Juror on major Piano Competitions. He is Director of Master Classses at the University of Lund.
